A word from the owner
Welcome! It is my pleasure to have you with us at Modern Martial Arts. This school has changed many lives for the better, mine included.
I did not start out in the Martial Arts business. I worked in finance for many years, and although I was fortunate and found great success, in my heart I knew that I wanted to have a job that could impact the lives of others positively. It came as a surprise to everyone (myself included) when I decided to quit my job and start a Martial Arts school. But now I wake up excited to go to work everyday.
I travel between our four Manhattan studios, checking on the progress of our students as they grow and develop under the guidance of our wonderful instructors. As someone who is passionate about education and enriching lives, I am fulfilled each day by the work I now do.
Thank you again for choosing our academy. I look forward to seeing you or your child in class soon!

The student creed is said at the start and end of every Juniors class. It sets the tone for the class, helps promote unity, and strengthens the martial arts spirit.

Parents, treat yourselves to a night out on the town!
"Parent's Night Out" is a monthly event, held on Friday Nights, with a new an exciting theme every time.
The night is filled with games, prizes, treats, surprises, and a big-screen movie.

At less than the cost of a babysitter, this is a great opportunity for your child to socialize with their friends in a safe and fun environment, and to get to know our instructors a little better. It comes as no surprise that this is one of our most popular events!

Celebrate your child's next birthday with a party that will make them feel like a superstar!
Our affordable birthday parties are designed to showcase your child's skills while playing traditional birthday games with a martial arts twist.
Our Upper West Side & Tribeca locations offer a bounce house as a party option, and all parties include a board-breaking demonstration and a fun martial arts class for all of your child's guests. Check with a member of our staff for pricing and availability, and book a birthday your child will never forget!
Our camp is designed for kids! The primary focus of this program is to give kids the "Yes I Can!" attitude. Our camp is the perfect way to spend summer in the city! Activities range from martial arts classes, to arts & crafts, and field trips. Campers will:
- Develop their martial arts skills at an accelarated rate with 2 classes held daily
- Learn fun and exciting weapons training using safe, padded weapons and non-contact drills
- Hone their arts & crafts skills
- Visit various educational and exciting NYC destinations
Camp Information
Drop Off - 8:30am to 9:30am
Pick Up - 3:00pm - Late pick up available for additional charge
Snacks/Lunch
Campers bring their own packed lunch. We provide healthy snacks, water, and juice throughout the day.
Academic Time
We allocate 30 minutes each day for reading and activities. Children should bring reading material or activity books.
Uniforms/T-Shirts
We provide Modern Martial Arts camp t-shirts

10% discount for 2nd child in the same family
